Captain Slow hits the 259 mph mark
James May (aka Captain Slow) from the hit BBC series Top Gear apparently took the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, the same one that set the land speed record, to a top speed of 259.11 mph.
Apparently the gents from Top Gear were in the thick of this world record attempt and the Cap’n got a go at it himself. More details about the effort and the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport in the August issue of Top Gear magazine. We say Captain Slow no more, he will now be known as Captain Fast.
