NHTSA updates 5-star testing
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has decided to update its testing procedures and how they relate to the coveted 5-star safety rating. Safety technology in cars has changed and some of these changes will be put to the test and be made part of the grading process.
This change is being made to make it easier to choose between safe automobiles easier and also give better information to safety minded consumers.. Fifty-five new 2011 vehicles will be tested by NHTSA in the coming months.
