Toyota to push safety in new ads

Being the only major manufacturer with a sales decline in 2010, Toyota is still feeling the pain of the negative publicity regarding unintended acceleration and the subsequent reports that followed claiming that they knew about the issues and ignored them.

Regardless of fault, cause or effect Toyota has to shift gears from reliability to safety to display that they are concerned about safety and will do what it takes to produce such vehicles. They will need to change people’s perception over this matter and they are planning on using their new ad campaigns to do exactly that. To accomplish that message, they’re in it for the long run to push the safety message to consumers and reassure consumers that they produce worthy vehicles.
