Hennessey Performance announces plans for ZR1 Camaro

[ 0 ] October 7, 2010 |

Hennessey is on a mad tear lately shoving high horsepower engines into anything that will accept them, and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing! They’ve announced plans to build a ZR1 based Camaro convertible that will bear the same HPE700 title that the 2010 hardtop did. The 2011 HPE700 will also be available in hardtop, so don’t worry about choice!

After tossing a modified LS9 from the Vette ZR1 into the chassis of the Camaro it becomes an unreal vehicle pushing out 755 horses at 763 ft-lbs of torque. But it’s not only the power train that gets the treatment, the brakes, suspension, and interior/exterior get upgraded to become a whole package of awesome!

The 2011 HPE700 Camaro will be a limited 24 car run and pricing will come in at $132,500, which includes a one-day driving course at Lonestar Motorsports Park.
