Ford Sync in over 3 million vehicles

[ 0 ] January 12, 2011 |

Fords partnership with Microsoft to develop the Sync started in 2007 as an option in the 2008 model year Focus as a $400 option. Over the years it has spread to over Ford and Lincoln vehicles and helped bring in more profit.

While the Sync platform is standard in the Lincoln lineup, as an option customers elect for the system 80 percent of the time. Increased importance on minimizing distractions while driving yet remaining in control and connected will likely keep the Sync as a hot option to have as a co-pilot.
