Word on the Interwebs is that Chevy is planning on putting the shine on a new special edition Camaro every six months. Special editions have typically been limited, especially lately, to classic renditions such as the Cobra, the Z28, etc.
We’re not sure how we feel about special editions for movies, video games, and the like only because it sort of takes the special out of special edition. They’ve turned it into yet another marketing vehicle, so to speak, and that just isn’t exciting to the true car enthusiast. But somehow we don’t think automakers give much thought to true enthusiasts once the bean counters see potential dollar signs.
