2010 Chevy Camaro Is Still On Track, To Get V6 Engine

According to Edmunds.com, General Motors is still on track to produce the new Camaro in 2010, regardless of fuel prices and market conditions. However, the power train is still questionable with rumors of a six cylinder or possibly even a four cylinder option. GM’s vice president of sales and marketing, Mark LaNeve, stated “Everyone thinks we’ll be positioning the Camaro as a burn-ass hot rod…But that’s only about 30 percent of the business. The other two-thirds will come from 27-mpg V6 sales, with a significant female share”. Mark LaNeve also hinted of GM “looking at plans for a four-cylinder…but we don’t have it done yet”. Has the end of the eight cylinder era finally come to an end? No muscle car deserves a four cylinder that’s for sure.
