2011 thru 2012 Corvette recalled for rear hatch problem
According to a bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration GM has issued a recall for 2011 and 2012 Corvettes. The recall is due to an issue with the hinges on the rear hatch which could pose a safety hazard in the event the vehicle is involved in a collision.
GM should have issued the recall notification to affected owners via snail mail starting October 7th. You can also contact General Motors directly at 1-800-630-2438 and when asked reference recall notice #11258.
