Is Ford going to debut a Shelby GT 500 convertible at the Detroit Auto Show?
Start your rumor engines and get out camera phones. There is a rumor floating on the wind right now suggesting Ford may Debut the convertible GT 500 at the Detroit Auto Show.
With the show just a few weeks away it does seem logical. And we do know that all the GT 500 predecessors have had a topless version. But what we really want to know is this… After announcing the crazy power and torque that this oval branded beast has, what changes will be made to the convertible version? Will it be speed limited? How much heavier will it be? Just how much frame reinforcement is going to be added to stop potential lead foot owners from making a giant pretzel? We will have to wait and see if these questions are answered in Detroit.
