We are car lovers. We are gear heads. We are a myriad of other names used to associate us with things that go fast, make noise and well…. go fast. However, there comes a time when someone has to step in and simply stop the madness because it has gone too far. This my friends, is one of those times.
Behold… the project Audi R8 Limo! The folks at Carbonyte UK are currently working on this limo, apparently in the hopes that you can divide by zero with an R8 and come out the other end in one piece. The mock-up picture from Limo Brokers in the UK shows what the R8 limo will look like once completed. To be honest, the first thing that came to mind was the Eagle spaceship from the 1970′s sci-fi TV show Space 1999. When it rolls out to customers in the summer of 2012 it will seat 8 in the relative comfort of Audi R8 sport seats as it rolls down the highway scaring possible auto enthusiasts into buying Volvo V50s so they can look “Sporty.” I know it hasn’t hit the roads yet, and I shouldn’t judge until I see it complete and rolling… but… on the other hand… shouldn’t I?
