MOPAR turns 75, brings you presents
The good folks over at MOPAR are celebrating the brand name’s 75th birthday this year and are bringing the gifts to all their Chrysler friends. MOPAR announced it will unveil some new surprises at the Chicago Auto Show this year.
The new Dodge Dart will be given the following offerings: Carbon fiber hood, cold air kit, cat back exhaust kit, matte black wheels, a brake upgrade kit and some suspension tweaks. The Fiat 500 ‘Stinger’ will get a cold air kit, cat back exhaust kit, bigger brakes and wheels and be accented by a metallic yellow with black stripe. The Jeep Compass ‘True North’ will offer black rims, new tires, different gauges, badges, an accented grill, and a two inch lift. The only real delivery-ready MOPAR special will be the 2012 MOPAR 300. Only 500 of these will be made. The additions include better tires, brakes, and suspension upgrades. It will also have slightly different gearing allowing it to hit 0-60 quicker than its standard edition family member. It will sit upon 20″ gloss black rims and the rest of the exterior and interior will be accented by blue MOPAR striping and other detailing.
