It seems that even this early into the new year no one is safe from the recall bug. The latest car maker to be hit this year is Porsche. The problem being reported by the NHTSA is a possible fuel leak on the 911 Carrera S.
The recall affects 1232 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S models. The NHTSA filing reports that the routing of a coolant line interferes with a fuel line which could cause the fuel line to become disconnected. The could result in the engine missing, stalling or even a fire. Porsche is starting the recall now, and has said it is already in the process of notifying the affected Carrera S owners. Once contacted, the owners will be able to schedule a repair at the closest Porsche dealer free of charge.
