Pass the Grey Poupon… Bentley is heading back to Le Mans
There are a lot of rumblings going on in the Le Mans circles at the moment. Apparently Bentley is planning to throw their hat or derby… or something fancy… back in to the ring of the 24 hours of Le Mans. The are so serious that they have gone out and hired Graham Humphrys to consult on the project.
Humphrys was a large part of the success behind the 1999 BMW LMR victory and Le Mans, and is considered by many in the industry to be one of the best organizers around. It is unsure what class Bentley will decide on, but looking at past history and recent ‘off the record’ comments it would appear that they would be leaning towards GT3. I definitely hope this is a sooner than later effort. It would be great to see a Bentley competing at Le Mans again.
