Audi takes 1 and 2 overall at the Nurburgring 24 hour endurance race

Audi has been just plain tearing it up on the endurance racing circuit as of late. Earlier this year Audi won at Zolder, Spa, and Bathurst, and now have taken first and second overall at the Nurburgring 24 hour endurance race.

Marc Basseng, Frank Stippler, Markus Winkelhock and Christopher Haase shared the driving duties for Pheonix Racing R8 LMS, completing 155 laps on their way to a first place finish. Team Mamerow Racing grabbed second place in their R8 LMS, which was driven by Christian Abt, Michael Ammermüller, Armin Hahne and Christian Mamerow. Audi definitely seems to be the brand to beat this year in endurance racing. Lets see if they can keep this pace up and see how hard it pushes the competition.
