Porsche celebrates anniversary of Porsche Clubs by releasing 911 Club Coupe
The first Porsche Club was started in 1952 in Westphalia, Germany by just seven men. 60 years later, Porsche club members number just over 181,000 people spread over 75 countries. That is an astounding number, and yet another example of just how strong a following Porsche has maintained over the years.
To help celebrate the occasion Porsche has decided to release a VERY limited edition 911 Club Coupe model. They have taken a Carrera S, given it the Sport Design Package with a slight nose job, tweaked the suspension which lowers the coupe by 20mm, they have added the Carrera S Powerkit which ups the muscle from 400 to 430 horsepower and gives it a 0-60 time of right at 4 seconds. They then covered it in Brewster Green, gave it Espresso interior and then added some nice 911 Club Coupe script on the sides and rear. Now, before you go dashing off to the nearest Porsche dealer to lay your hands on one, here is the bad news, (why is there always bad news?) Porsche are only releasing 12 of these to the public, and those are only available through a lottery system which you can sign up for [HERE]. So, if you have $175,000.00 laying around and feel lucky then shoot on over and see if you can score what will undoubtedly become a super rare collectors item.
