Yusho Supercharged Miata concept raises some eyebrows
Mazda has turned a few heads at the Leipzig Motor Show by rolling out a supercharged MX-5 Miata concept. There have been rumors floating around for some time now that a race inspired Miata may one day hit the dealer floor for the mass public, but never an official statement.
Powered by basically the same supercharger kit offered by the folks at Flyin’ Miata, this show stopper puts out a little over 240 horsepower. The motor has been beefed up with Cosworth pistons, a new fuel system, exhaust and computer upgrades. The suspension has been tweaked with Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks. I would really like to see just how much horsepower that built motor could handle. Hopefully Mazda will take a chance and we will see something like this roll out on to a dealership lot one day.
