If the Nissan GT-R is Godzilla, then the AMS Alpha 12 GT-R is Mechagodzilla
The Nissan GT-R is an amazing sports car. Since it’s introduction in 2007 it has gained both a huge following as well as a huge amount of respect from gear heads everywhere. Now, some mad scientists from AMS have transformed the GT-R into a masterpiece of both power and unbridled (yet still respected) terror.
Behold the AMS Alpha 12 GT-R, the Mechagodzilla to the stock Nissan GT-R. You supply the folks at AMS with a 2009 or later GT-R, a check, and proof of insanity, and they will present you with one of, if not the fastest street legal cars ever made. What was delivered to them as a 3.8L Turbocharged V6 is returned as a 4.0L Turbocharged time machine. AMS includes custom injectors, MAP sensors, cams, race ported heads, an AMS Alpha 12 Turbo Kit and inter-cooler setup, complete custom exhaust and finish that off with an incredibly beefed up gear box and differential (presumably all of this is done while the GT-R is suspended on a gurney hoisted well off the ground in some medieval castle during a lightning storm, while the technician beats Igor with a torque wrench for being slow on the job.) What you get at the end of this is a vehicle pushing 1,100 horsepower on 93 octane that hits the 0-60 mark in 2.4 seconds, and clocking in a quarter mile time of 8.975 at 169 mph. That is a second faster than the Bugatti Veyron at a fifth of the cost. So what are you waiting for! Grab your straight jacket and check book and go hit the folks at AMS up now!
