Shelby GT500 Mustang May Get EcoBoost V8 In The Future
According to The Detroit Bureau, Ford is working on an EcoBoost version of their V8 engine based off of the 5.0 liter “Coyote” V8, which is coming to the Ford Mustang next year. If the rumors are true, the EcoBoosted V8 would be capable of producing over 500 horsepower as well as get an efficient gas mileage rating, something every owner would enjoy. However the reports by The Detroit Bureau pick out the Shelby GT500 as the contender for an EcoBoost V8 but with an efficient V8 engines on their hands, why would Ford only limit it to the Shelby and not a base GT? Only time will tell.
