Drag Racing Goes from Two Lanes to Four this Weekend
The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) is going to kick off its Inaugural Four-Wide Nationals at zMax Raceway is Concord, NC March 25-28.
In 2009 the NHRA did an exhibition at zMax with funny cars and top fuel dragsters, but I don’t think anyone was expecting that they’d go four lanes for an entire event let alone for all four professional classes. Apparently when times are tough, a new gimmick will hopefully breathe some life into things and garner the attention of more people. We’ll see if that happens but it should certainly be interesting to watch.
