Ford Reveals the Focus RS500 Early
Even though Ford was going to make the world wait to see what they had up their sleeve for the UK market, they decided to release the details and photos a day early of the RS500 Focus.
What’s so special about the RS500 edition you ask? It’s just a Focus, who cares? Fair enough. Think of the US SVT version from years past and then imagine it producing 350HP out of a 2.5L turbocharged in-line 5 cylinder engine. The RS500 doesn’t differ much from the RS model, except for some tweaks on the air induction system and exhaust to beef up the output by 45HP.
The RS500 will be available in Europe, limited to 500 units, and available in any color as long as it’s matte black. *Psst* I bet an RS500 would sell good in the states, don’t you think so Mr. Mulally?
