Chrysler Purchases 60 Second Ad Spot During Super Bowl

A new report popped up that Chrysler has purchased a 60 second Super Bowl commercial spot for the Dodge Charger, which turns out to be the most expensive ad length to purchase during the game. Chrysler spokeswoman Dianna C. Gutierrez commented on the issue "What better way to illustrate to our customers that we are still here than to air on the Super Bowl". Coming from a company that declared bankruptcy last year and used tax payers dollars to bail them out, we can expect a whole lot of pissed off people complaining on Monday.

Next Gen Chrysler 300C Spotted In Presentation

Our friends over at Autoblog uncovered some spyshots of the next generation 300C during a presentation of a concept car. Chrysler seems to have updated the front end with an Audi inspired appearance, slanting the headlights slightly and ditching the squared look on previous models, as well as a smaller luxurious grille. 2014 Mustang To Possibly Get IRS

A report by MotorTrend hints that the next generation Mustang, slated for a 2014 arrival, may get the addition of an IRS rear suspension. The year will mark the companies 50th anniversary for the iconic muscle car and the change would be monumental for the company as the Mustang has always been a rear axle vehicle. Ride quality has always been sacrificed due to this decision, and the Mustang currently gets beat by the Chevrolet Camaro in the ride comfort. Of course right now it's just speculation from an "inside source" and three years are quite some time to think it over.

Ford Using Virtual Reality To Build Next Muscle Car

Engineers at United Space Alliance (USA) and Ford Motor Company are sharing their animation software experiences to create virtual reality simulations that benefit both astronauts and drivers. Ford is applying virtual reality animation software that is used by movie animators and video game creators to improve real-life driving situations before the first prototype is even built. In an immersive Virtual Evaluation lab (iVE), Ford engineers create virtual vehicles complete with exterior views.

Limited Edition Corvette Auction to Benefit Haitian Earthquake Relief

Earthquake relief efforts in Haiti will receive all proceeds from the auction of a limited edition 2008 Chevrolet Corvette at this weekend’s 39th annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction. The proceeds, which will be donated to the American Red Cross relief fund, are in addition to a $100,000 contribution from the GM Foundation to the Red Cross.
