The highly anticipated 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Coupe goes on sale next Monday, December 3rd. You'll be able to pick up one of these bad boys for a sticker price of $37,995 which includes destination charges. Only 10,000 units will be sold for 2008, so you may have to wait in line at the dealership come Monday morning. Should we call it "black monday" for the challenger?
Dodge will continue to release more models later on with V-6 and smaller V-8 platforms, but initially it will boast the huge 6.1-liter Hemi V-8. We think no muscle car deserves a V-6 and they should all feature the 6.1-liter. Available colors for the coupe are black, silver and orange and each vehicle comes with a numbered dash plaque for authenticity. Chrysler President and Vice Chairman, Jim Press, stated "The Challenger SRT8 is only the beginning of the story, as we’ll soon follow with a complete lineup of Challenger models that will offer a wide array of features and deliver outstanding value for our customers".
We can't wait till Monday.
