A man by the name of Doug Pelmear from Naploleon, Ohio, has managed to squeeze 110 miles per gallon out of his 1987 Ford Mustang, potentially earning him $10 million in a contest held by Progressive Automotive X. Making his engine nearly five times as efficient as a traditional gasoline motor, he mixed in regular gasoline and 85 percent ethanol. The car has 400 horsepower and goes zero to 60 in three seconds. "This will bring back the automotive industry when they can sell trucks and SUVs and the models that are almost dead at this time" Pelmear said. Not bad for something that still gets over 100 miles per gallon! As reported by KMBC.Steve Saleen Sells His Pre Production 2005 Ford GT On Ebay
