After weeks of speculation, rumors and renderings, the first official photos of the Hotchkis Performance “E-MAX” 1970 Challenger track car, as well as new Hotchkis Sport Suspension components and handling systems for 1966-70 Chrysler B-Body and 1970-74 E-Body muscle cars are now online. These components modernize antiquated Mopar suspension and deliver incredible handling, road feel and lateral grip.
The 1970 Challenger, E-MAX, has served as a development test bed and track car for Hotchkis engineers and drivers. E-Max features a full array of new Hotchkis Sport Suspension components, including Tubular Upper A-Arms, Adjustable Strut Rods, Sport Sway Bars, Steering Rods, high-performance Torsion Bars and Total Vehicle System (TVS) packages. These are the first performance-engineered and track tested bolt-on suspension components for Challenger, Barracuda, Charger, Superbee Road Runner, GTX and more that require no cutting or welding.
Hotchkis TVS kits include bolt-in relocation suspension pickup point brackets, fabricated strut rods with Heim joints to eliminate excess front suspension play, bump steer corrected aluminum steering rods with adjustable Heim joint ends, performance leaf springs that lower the car two-inches and fabricated steel subframe connectors for improved rigidity. Essentially Hotchkis has revised the antiquated Mopar suspension with modern geometry.
The Hotchkis philosophy is simple: Engineer bolt-on race-proven performance parts for a dramatically improved, grin-inducing driving experience without permanently altering their car. Stash your old parts in the garage, bolt-on a Hotchkis Sport Suspension system and hit the gas. If you want to bring your ride back to factory stock, pull the old parts out of storage and you’re good to go.
