Performance experts, Saleen Inc, are placing the company up for sale beginning early next year. The decision comes after a board advisor was hired to investigate "economic interests" for potential buyers. Saleen builds performance vehicles for Ford including a wide selection of Mustangs, and even helped develop the Dodge Viper. No interested buyers have come forward yet.
