MBRP Inc is best known for its popular diesel exhaust kits for Dodge, Chevy, GMC and Ford pickup trucks. With such a rich history in the diesel pickup industry, most are surprised to learn that this Ontario Canada-based performance company is also big on American muscle cars. Recently MBRP announced new exhaust kits for the 05-07 Chevy Corvette, the 05-07 Ford Mustang GT, the 05-07 Chrysler 300C, and the 05-07 Dodge Magnum and Charger RT.
We installed MBRP part # S7100304 which applies to a 2005-2007 Chrysler 300C and Dodge Magnum/Charger with a 5.7L V8 HEMI engine. This is a cat-back dual exhaust which retains the factory x-pipe on this 2006 Chrysler 300C.
This How-To is meant to give you an overview of the installation process. It is recommended that you follow the manufacturer's installation instructions, step-by-step. You can download the MBRP installation instructions for the Chrysler 300C (PDF) which applies to similar Dodge vehicles as well.
Although this installation can be performed in your driveway as a Do-It-Yourself project, we enlisted the help of SKG Automotive Customizers in Poway California to give us the vertical lift we needed for photographs and video.
Enter Chad Massa and the legendary Ron Stacy, exhaust installation gurus.
Removal of your stock exhaust system
Before installing your new MBRP exhaust kit, you first have to remove your stock kit.
Measure eight inches toward the front of the vehicle from the resonator located behind the factory X-pipe. Mark the factory exhaust pipes at this location and cut them.
Note: We removed the entire exhaust kit first, then cut the pipes.
Apply a penetrating lubricant liberally to all exhaust fasteners, hangers and rubber insulators.
Remove the rear section factory exhaust from the vehicle.

Install your shiny new MBRP exhaust
First, lay all of the pieces on the ground and become familiar with which parts connect to where.
Tip: Throughout the next few steps you will be adding the 2.5" Accuseal clamps. Do not tighten them until the installation is complete.
Slide the 2.25" clamps over the two ends of the factory exhaust where it was cut behind the X-Pipe previously. Then add in the front pipes.
After adding another 2.5" clamp over the other end of the front pipe, slide on a resonator over each front pipe.
Once the resonators are in place, add another 2.5" clamp to each resonator, then add the longer side tail pipes.
Once the side tail pipes are in place, slide the hangers into the rubber insulators.
Add another set of 2.5" clamps to the end of the side tail pipes and attach the driver's side and passenger's side mufflers. Again, slide the hangers into the rubber insulators.
Align the exhaust as necessary before tightening the clamps. Check along the whole length of the exhaust system to ensure that there is adequate clearance around the fuel and brake lines or any wiring. If any interference is detected, relocate or adjust.
Tighten each clamp securely.
Congratulations! You are ready to begin the improved performance and driving experience of your MBRP, Inc. performance exhaust system.
